Life As We Know It

Hola readers. I've had a lot on my mind lately. Mostly good exciting things. 28 days until Dragon*Con!! Super stoked about that! Halloween in September! I'm not planning to dress up but I do have a new camera that I plan to wear out by taking a bajillion pictures of people in costume!

We had our first housewarming party at the beginning of July. It was a lot of fun. I say first because, well, I wasn't sure how awkward it would be to have divorced parents at the same party in a small house. And it's just easier to plan smaller parties when I'm not used to having/hosting parties in the first place.

Then about a week or so after the housewarming party, my best friend in the whole world came to visit me and go to a couple of concerts. She was only here for two days but I can't seem to stop reliving those two days.

Tyler Hilton
We went to see Tyler Hilton and Dion Roy and it was AMAZING! We leveled up; we've seen Tyler Hilton four times now! If you haven't heard of him, check out his new CD Forget the Storm. It's amazing! Dion Roy is also amazing and has a new CD called Into the Day. I'm mostly in love with how Dion is so attentive to his fans and how he interacts with them on a daily basis. Pretty cool to see a famous person be so down to earth. I don't know why but I'm always amazed at that. Famous people are regular people too! haha.

So I've had those two days in repeat in my head for the past few weeks. I miss my friend. Not that we went to concerts all the time or anything but we have definitely had great times at the concerts we did attend. And I guess this was just kinda bringing it all back when we used to do fun stuff like that. We still have fun when we're together but we don't get to see each other as much (being 600 miles apart and all) and this past concert was just a reminder (and addition to!) the memories we have together. Our lives have changed so much since high school and we still remain very close friends. I don't think many people can say that and I'm very lucky to have her in my life.

Ok now that the tearfest and friendly mushiness is over, my next mind-grabber is...Dragon*Con again! I'm sooo excited!

I guess that concludes today's blog. I need to start taking more pictures and having a new blog every week on one of my days off to vent and let out my creative side. It's 1 am, so that means it's my day off, and this counts as my first *weekly* blog. Haha let's see how long I can keep that going. Probably my stipulation will be "if my two days off are not consecutive then the blog can wait until the next week that I have two consecutive days off". But maybe. Maybe I can keep it going even if they're not consecutive. Here's to hope! (that last sentence sounds weird but it is meant to sound like giving a toast)
