Negative Nancy or Positive Polly?

*Nancy and Polly are strictly fictional and are being used in the title solely for alliteration purposes  :)

Stress is a commonplace for me. I get a lot on my plate, a lot on my mind, maybe I don't take care of things right away, I let it all pile up, and all of a sudden I feel overwhelmed. I know I put myself in these situations because of the fact that I don't take care of things right away. I suffer from procrastination too.

Let's see, right now on my "things to do" list: talk to a home insurance company, sign up for the insurance, let the lender know that is done, talk to the home inspector for a document that may end up saving money if he can provide it, pray the realtors and lenders and everyone involved can come up with a closing date for the house, get quotes from moving companies, pack up things, let the landlords know we're moving (they already know but we have to let them know when we have a closing date on the house), pick up as much overtime at work as possible. I know I'm leaving things out, I guess those are the main things and the things I have to do in like 7 hours. On top of finding time to cook and go to work. Though I think we have enough leftovers in the fridge that maybe I won't have to cook tomorrow. I do feel bad sometimes for not being that "perfect" wife that cooks meals for her husband seven days a week.

Anywho for the stress, I like to eat junk food and watch funny things. Probably not a great combination, but who knows, maybe I'm burning off all those calories from the laughter. One of the best shows ever made is called Just For Laughs. It's a bunch of harmless pranks, that frankly I'm impressed they were able to pull a lot of them off. You can see some of them on this youtube vid. They hardly talk on the show. I kind of think that's part of what makes the show so unique. Because of the fact that they don't need to say a lot, this show has been a hit in a lot of different countries, which is kind of neat. Definitely something to check out if you've had a hard day or need a laugh. It's not like some shows that thrive on laughter from people getting hurt, which is probably the main reason I like it.

Ben found this picture, which is extremely cute and appropriate since we've been playing a lot of Plants vs Zombies.

Fortune Camera

My sister-in-law gave me this really cool disposable camera that was like a fortune cookie camera. The idea is that on the roll of film, there is a different "fortune" and you don't find out which picture has what until you get the film developed. Sadly, it is a disposable camera, so the pictures aren't the best quality, but the pictures that did turn out are pretty funny. Here's one from Seaworld:

If you ever find one of those cameras in a store, buy it! You won't regret it! Not sure where she got it from, but it's so funny to read the fortunes once they're developed. Also it's pretty funny because when you're looking through the viewfinder trying to take a picture, you will always feel like you have to keep stepping back, like you're not going to be able to fit the whole object/subject in the picture. Well, apparently even if you feel that way, the camera is still able to capture a lot. I have a lot of the fortune pics from a family event, and everyone is squished together so closely to be able to fit in the picture, yet the actual picture after it was developed has a ton of room around everyone. It just looks very funny.

Here's one from 2nd Ave in Nashville, Tennessee. The fortune says: "You have unusual equipment for success, use it properly."

Picture Fun

My 2012 Valentine's Day Flower Collage....(drumroll please).....

Fred likes flowers. And he's very photogenic at times. My favorite is the purple iris with Fred in the background. Here's a better picture of it by itself:

Didn't that turn out cool?  I wouldn't call myself a photographer by any means, but every now and then I feel like I snap a good one.

Here's a couple other random pics I played around with:

If you have any experience in art or photography and somehow stumble on this blog, I will gladly accept any constructive criticism.  :)
