Bucket List

Have you ever made a bucket list? I've been working on mine on pinterest. So far, this is what I have:

1. Visit NYC in the fall or winter
2. Visit California (I could spend a month traveling the whole state, there are so many places I want to visit there, too many to narrow it down to only one area or city)
3. See the Aurora Borealis in Canada (also I'd like to go to Vancouver, Canada)
4. Visit Tahiti (this is probably #1, but not as realistic right now as the other places)
5. Go to all 50 states (still have Alaska, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin...24 to go!)

Haha it's all traveling somewhere. There are a lot of things on my bucket list and this is just the beginning. 

Sleepytime!

Nothin' new in my neck of the woods. Besides feeling sleep deprived 90% of the time and working, there's not been a whole lot going on. I haven't even done the photo challenge this week. :(   I thought the photo challenge would be fun, but it just seems a little like work. They give me a word or phrase to try to capture in a picture, but I think I just want to take photos on my own without trying to meet a deadline. So in that sense, I may still take this past week's photos, but maybe all in one day instead of "this day we'll take a picture of something red and tomorrow will be blue". 

Anywho, since I have nothing new to say or comment on, here's a fun picture of Fred from a few weeks ago, or maybe it was last week, they're all blurring together.

I found this picture on pinterest a while back and it is one of the cutest kitty pictures I've ever seen. It's sad but I'm just starting to realize how much cats dominate the internet. And I'm just adding to it with my "Fred Tales".

October Photo-a-Day Challenge

So crazy!!! I had my fingers on the wrong keys on the keyboard and trying to google "pinterest" but I was typing it in wrong because of the wrong placement of my fingers and google STILL KNEW what I was trying to type! lol

To start using my camera more, I'm taking on one of those "photo a day" challenges. I found one from here that I have been using.

It's been almost 2 weeks and I haven't even uploaded my pictures until now. I'm sure every blog post from me is like "picture overload!" but oh well...I'm sure you're used to it by now, and I'm really enjoying taking pictures and feeling artsy (I have a scientific mind, I'm really not very artsy).

October 6: I'm Thankful For...

  I'm thankful for a lot of things: Family, Friends, thankful to be alive, thankful for a "dream job" (thankful to have a job!), thankful for my life. I saw a very tragic accident on this same day and it's really got me going round and round with how thankful we all should be and how short our lives are. To watch things on tv and see them in real life are two totally different things that I suppose I just wasn't aware of until that day. Moral of the story: tell people you love them and drive safe. Ok, enough crying and back to blogging..

  The sunrise was so pretty that day. Not sure if this is the best picture to represent "light", but it was enough to wake Fred up, who in turn woke me up.

For decorating ideas or organizational ideas, this website is amazing! A lot like pinterest but all related to the house. You make up an ideabook and put in pictures that you like. I can't get away from it! Now to only bring those ideas to life....
